Skilpadjies

Also known as “lewer in netvet” is a must have for anyone that enjoys liver.  This is slightly spiced sheep’s liver wrapped in caul fat, which is the fatty membrane that surrounds the kidneys.

The skilpadjies come in a pack of three weighing roughly 430grams.

To prepare these, simply braai them over medium heat for about 15 minutes, turning occasionally. Serve them as is or you can baste them with your favorite sauce.
